I’ve loved the movie Stargate since I was a kid, so I challenged myself to build a costume of one of my favorite characters using everyday materials: cardboard and paper mâché. From patterning and sculpting to reinforcement and hand painting, this labor of love won me a Halloween costume contest in 2016 and still sits on its mannequin today.
